Full-time Editor
We are seeking full-time editors to contribute as part of the editorial team within the production department. The documents we produce are authoritative, accurate records of proceedings as diverse as roundtable discussions, business conferences, and court proceedings. A high standard of quality assurance is essential.
This position requires outstanding editorial skills, solid organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication skills and a strong team ethic. You will be required to exhibit superb skills in written and spoken English. All deliveries are made to strict deadlines, so the ability to prioritise and work accurately under pressure is central to the role.

Our freelance transcribers produce verbatim records of court proceedings, legal interviews, and corporate events. The work is interesting and varied and offers the opportunity to work from home to a flexible schedule. The work is not suitable if you have a full-time job.
Background in the legal sector - perhaps as a court reporter, law student or legal secretary - is an advantage but is not required. Experience as a transcriber or audio typist is a strong advantage. You need to have your own PC with broadband internet connection.
The role offers the opportunity to work from home with flexible scheduling while you earn a competitive freelance rate. Freelancing for Ubiqus is not generally compatible with a full-time job, but our freelance transcribers include parents of young children, university and postgraduate students, and former PAs and secretaries.

Freelance Report Writers
Ubiqus specialises in producing transcripts and summaries of public and private sector meetings, conferences and events. Event reporters work primarily from home with audio downloaded from our server, though you may sometimes have the opportunity to attend meetings in Ireland or abroad. The work is not compatible with a full-time job.
Applicants must offer:

- Keen understanding of economic and financial conceprts and terminology
- High level of general knowledge and current affairs
- Excellent internet research skills
- Ability to work from home with broadband internet access.

Freelance Translators
We require experienced translators working to and from all world languages. You must demonstrate mother-tongue standards of fluency in your chosen target language(s), along with superb grammar, punctuation, and attention to detail.
You are likely to have significant professional experience in one or more specialised translation subjects and to use Trados or other computer-assisted translation packages. Formal translation qualifications are desirable.
